What time do you serve food?
We serve food:
Tuesday – Thursday 12-3pm & 5.00-9pm
Friday & Saturday : 12pm-3pm & 5.00 pm-9pm
Sunday: 12pm – 7pm
Our main and lunch menu is available 12-3pm Tues-Saturday.
Our sunday menu is available all day 12-7pm including our delicious roasts.
Do you allow dogs?
We love welcoming dogs! Please let us know if you are going to bring your furry friends so we make sure to give you enough space. Water and dog treats are on us all we ask is for dogs to stay off the furniture and on their leads.
Do you allow children?
We love welcoming children at The Sun, we have a separate children’s menu and colouring and games to help keep them entertained. Please include children in your party number (including young children in highchairs) so we make sure to get you a big enough table. We welcome children under 10 years of age up to 7pm and children 10 years and older up to 9pm. As The Sun is a bit on the small side we do ask you to fold down pushchairs and will need to know if you are bringing a pram with a baby so we can make sure you have sufficient space.
What food can you do for children?
We have a children’s menu which offers fresh dishes such as pasta, fish and chips, with a choice of junior roasts on a Sunday.
Do you show sport?
We do not show sport or have any screens to show events at The Sun. But we have great food and a lot of beers, wines and spirits to make up for it…
Can I bring a cake?
We like nothing more than to help make your personal events truly special. If you would like to bring a cake then by all means do. Simply hand it to a member of staff on your arrival and they will keep it refrigerated for you, and if you bring candles we can bring the cake out to you lit and provide knives and plates.
Can I decorate my table?
Where can I park?
Unfortunately, we do not have a car park and the council’s latest limits to on street parking mean you can only park on the streets near The Sun after 1pm. The closest car park is in the village and is a short pleasant walk through Grove Park. Please note car park fees vary based on time of day and time of year.
How do I get there by train?
Our nearest over ground is Carshalton train station, which is just a couple of minutes walk away. Simply come out of the station and turn left walk down the hill turn right keep walking and you will be able to see The Sun on the corner.
How do I get there By Bus?
Do you have vegetarian / Vegan options?
We make sure that there are always vegetarian and Vegan options on the menu. We vary these options to make sure vegetarians get the same innovation and variety as other diners.
Do you have Gluten free options?
We are able to cater for most dietary requirements and there are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options on the menu. As all our food is made to order most of our dishes can also be adapted to your diet. Please let us know in advance and inform a member of our team on arrival of any dietary requirements or food allergies which we will try our best to accommodate.
